Evidence of Genre Conventions and Regulatory Guidelines

In this post I am going to explain the regulatory bodies and genre conventions of the production I have created. I will be looking at the OFCOM guidelines to find information about what is appropriate to display on public television.
According to the 'Broadcasting Act 1996' all programmes unless otherwise stated, should  be applied for Licensed Service;'. This is to legalise a production airing on live television. Therefore, this means our production must apply for the licensing service to make sure it airs to the audience. - television licensable content service "has the meaning given to it in Section 232 of the Communications Act. 

 For our TV programme, some scenes illustrates signs of drug use and torture that may be sensitive towards our audience. Others may not be affected by this, however we will have a warning sign before the programme begins. If there are any complaints about the programme, this will head directly to OFCOM.
